Sinopsis

Pierrot and Marianne meet again one night after many years. They flee Paris and escape to the south. But their escape is not only romantic; it is also threatened by a confusing gang war in which Marianne is involved. They isolate themselves like Robinson Crusoe, but Marianne longs for civilisation and problems reappear. With images and texts, songs and music, red and blue, sea and sky, Godard composes an adventure film and a love story, a lyrical and tragic celebration. One of the great works of a filmmaker who, in almost sixty years of career, never ceased, film after film, to reinvent cinema.
