La leyenda del tiempo tells the story of Isra, a gypsy boy who, after the death of his father, can no longer sing despite belonging to a tradition of singers and who dreams of one day travelling far away from the island where he was born, and that of Makiko, who travels to the island to try to assimilate a tradition and a way of understanding life that are foreign to her, and with which she hopes to be able to cope with the inexpressible emotions aroused in her by her father's illness. Two characters who, although they do not yet know it, are in the midst of transition, about to become different people.
